step one

Surface Preparation

Remove all pressure from the pipe.

Clean the area of oil, grease, loose rust, and paint.

Roughen the surface using sandpaper, wire brush, or file to achieve SSPC SP2 or SP3 cleaning standards.

Bandage Activation

Immerse the bandage in water and squeeze it 2-3 times for about 5 seconds to activate the resin.

Application

Wrap the bandage tightly around the leak site, pulling firmly with 50% overlap for each layer.

Continue wrapping until a minimum thickness of 7.5mm is achieved.

Wet gloves and smooth the surface for a uniform finish.

Finishing

Allow the repair to set for 30 minutes for full mechanical cure.

Live Leak Repairs

Use UPS 19060 SG ThistleBond Stick Grade Metal to plug through-wall defects before applying the bandage.

Sizes

Available in widths from 50mm to 150mm andlengths up to 10m for various pipe diameters.

Pressure Resistance

Up to 450 psi, depending on application method and pipe size.

Chemical Resistance

Resists diesel fuel, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and more (full chart available upon request).

Shelf Life

Two years when stored unopened in dry conditionsat 15-30°C.
